On the road with UFC
I’m a Las Vegas-based DP. For the past five years, much of my life has followed the UFC schedule.
I travel with a camera, spend a lot of time in gyms, and get to know fighters while they prepare for a fight. Some days I’m lighting an interview. Other days I’m working handheld, changing position as a room fills up or a training session moves outside.
Embedded means keeping pace with fight week. Countdown takes me into training camps and interviews. On The Walk, that coverage continues through the event. I started in sports at Kentucky Athletics before moving to Las Vegas to work for the UFC.
I also co-founded Overhand Films with Jake Leger. Between UFC assignments, we shoot documentaries and interviews for organizations and businesses.
